Ways to Spend Some ‘WE’ Time Together

You see your partner every single day. They are the first person you talk to in the morning and the last person you kiss goodnight. But does seeing each other day in and day out equal a healthy relationship? Not necessarily.

To maintain a healthy relationship it’s essential to spend quality time with your partner to strengthen your bond, keep the love alive, as well as make the relationship itself grow.

Here are 5 ways to spend some quality time with your partner:

Walk & Talk

Nothing will bring you closer together than going on a run, hitting the gym, or taking a long walk together while having a conversation. Aside from setting a goal to be physically healthy, going to the gym is one good way to make your relationship healthy as well because you develop self-discipline and have fun together.

Cook Together

Pop open a bottle of wine or put some romantic music on while you get busy – in the kitchen, of course! One of the best relationship tips for spending quality time together when you both have busy schedules is to cook meals together. Not only is this a fun way to spend your time together, but it also promotes teamwork.

Run Errands Together

Believe it or not, some of the best bonding can be done in the car on the way to the bank. Sure, you can go on trips, or schedule a vacation. But it’s these little moments that truly add up. If you have a couple of hours, run a quick errand, do something that doesn’t stress either of you out. You can definitely bond during a weeklong vacation, but remaining connected is something you can work on every day, and in small ways like this.

Fancy Night In

If heading out to a fancy date just isn’t in the budget right now, bring the dinner-and-a-movie date to you. Wear that Little Black Dress that’s been gathering dust in your closet. Make some snacks ahead of time. Decide on the movie you’ll rent in advance (no getting dressed up just to flip through Netflix!). Then, uncork your favorite bottle of wine and make the date night happen in your living room.

Get Intimate

Whether you’re too familiar with your partner or you barely see each other, it’s important to maintain some level of intimacy. Always make your partner feel beautiful. Surprise him or her every now and then. Give your partner a kiss in the most unexpected ways. Give your partner his or her favorite massage on the neck. Try to be more creative in keeping things intimate between the two of you.
