Exercise Plan for Those Who Work From home

Date

It feels like remote working started years ago as countries sought to figure out how production can continue without disruptions. If you’re working remotely now, chances are you’re still struggling to find a routine.

Regardless, your day-to-day work life has been interrupted and will likely be for the foreseen future which means things like your diet could change, and most likely, your fitness routine, too.

It’s time to get creative within your living space! Try these tips to incorporate exercise to your daily routine!

Set Alarms to Stretch

Take short breaks and do a series of stretches. Even a ten-minute sequence can be enough to get blood flowing and help you burn a few extra calories in the middle of the workday. If you’re at a computer all day long, try and break away for at least five minutes each hour for a quick stretching session.

Exercise and Television

You can still enjoy your favourite shows AND improve your fitness. Relaxing with a routine of all over stretches or doing a hardcore workout can easily be carried out whilst you tune into your favorite show.

Go For a Walk Outside

Make a little time every day to get outside, breathe some fresh air, and move your body. Not only will you feel re-focused and re-energized for the rest of your workday, but your body will thank you for the physical exercise. If you feel you can’t take that much time away from your workload, try to use your outside time to multitask by returning phone calls or participating in conference calls that don’t require you to be in front of a computer.

Put on Your Gym Clothes

Now, this is a handy trick. Even if you’re not leaving the house, it might be tempting to hang around in your pyjamas which can make you feel lazy and mean it’s harder to get motivated. Even if you have no plans to leave the house, put on your workout gear and you’ll be more likely to exercise.
